• How do I know if my loved one needs in-home care? When a loved one is in the beginning stages of showing signs of loss of functionality, and ideally, even before then, it's a good idea to begin your search for a care solution.

• What kind of services do you provide? We help seniors at home with a wide range of non-medical needs, including planning and preparing meals, light housework and laundry, assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming, medication reminders, transportation, running errands, companionship, specialized care for dementia and other chronic conditions, and much more.

• How quickly can I arrange for service? We pride ourselves on making it a top priority to respond quickly when there's a care need and in most situations, we can arrange services the same day we receive a request.

• Do you require a minimum of hours and days a week in order to provide care? We require a minimum of four hours of service a day and four days a week to provide the highest quality care. Urgent, short-term situations can be discussed on a case by case basis.

• How do I pay for your services? We accept Private payment and long-term care insurance only. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.

• Are your services available in Nursing homes or Assisted Living facilities? Treasured Gems Home Care services are avaliable wherever a senior resides, including private homes, retirement communities, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.

• What are the advantages of home care? With personal home care services, individuals receive the level of care they need when they need it. Each senior has exclusive access to his or her caregiver for as much or as little time as requested and, as a result, can maintain full control over what will be done each day, adhering to his or her own preferred schedule. And it's true: there's no place like home for comfort, security, and peace of mind!

• How are your caregivers screened? Each Treasured Gems caregiver goes through an extensive background check and reference check before providing care.

• Can you request a replacement caregiver if you're dissatisfied? You always have the option to replace a caregiver for many different reasons. We work hard to ensure you get the caregiver that is skilled in your loved one's care.

• Do you offer overnight and 24-hour care? Yes, we offer all times and days for care.

​

• What is your policy on stopping services? We require a written notice at least 14 days prior to ending services with Treasured Gems Home Care. In case of death, services will stop immediately.
